Yeah there was an episode on History yesterday about an hour before you posted this where they were trying to say that insects are a creation of aliens or something, and the Egyptians had some sort of real insect-human hybrids that were created by aliens or something. But they used these gears as something about "manmade looking features in nature" that "didn't seem natural". Typical ancient aliens stuff, but gears are cool.
